UPDATE #2: Finally got the bear tamed! For my friend that is. We went back and forth like this until the bear died. The jerk-hunter tried to pull it from me, so I pulled it back. The bear spawned just after 9:30pm and I began taming immediately. He would have none of it - that he would kill it before letting it be tamed by someone else. My friends and I tried to reason with him and tell him that we all were going to take turns, especially since some of us waited for over 24 hours without sleep for this bear. A new hunter had entered the area about an hour before. UPDATE: After 72+ hours, the bear spawned. Just want to help the other hunters that are waiting (hey guys :3) and figure out some concrete information so I can help my boyfriend tame the bear eventually. But both times I saw him, it was just me and one other hunter and the other hunter was right on top of the spawning location where the bear was in melee range of them when he popped up. Regarding no spawn if people are too close to his point. It has been over 12 hours since killing those rares too. So Syreian likely spawned again already and was killed. While camping the spot, another hunter went out to look for rares and found Seething Hate. Syreian first, Seething Hate a few (maybe 4?) hours later, finally Grocklar about 6 hours after killing Seething Hate. Well, I personally killed all three of the other rare spawns. One spawning location, multiple spawning locations (rumored Chillmaw), 6 hour timer, 12 hour, 12-24 hour, 36 hour, won't spawn if you're near or on the ground, he shares a timer with the other rare spawns in the area. People have stated just about every kind of theory there is. I'm trying to find more information on him, but he's too new to really know much. But other hunters and I have been camping this spot nearly nonstop and no sign of the bear since.
(5:30pm) And you have tamed, 10 hours after that occured. The bear popped up and another hunter starting taming before I could. (7:30am) Came back 12 hours later (thinking it was a 12 hour timer) and camped for 30-60 minutes.
